Eric is an award-winning creative director and content director whose breakthrough work in conservation communications has informed and inspired global audiences- shifting perceptions, changing behavior and influencing government legislation for the benefit of nature.
As executive creative director of J. Walter Thompson NY, Eric created the NGO WildAid’s long running campaign “When the buying stops the killing can, too,” now the largest wildlife awareness program ever, seen each week by over a billion people worldwide. He produced and directed the Emmy nominated feature documentary SAVING AFRICA’S GIANTS with Yao Ming, exposing the catastrophic rise of elephant and rhino poaching threatening their survival, and helping influence China’s historic 2018 nationwide ban on the sale of Ivory.
Eric recently served as USAID’s communications lead for their US-Asia Environmental Partnership Activity, working with the UN Development Programme, WWF, the Global Tiger Forum and the Snow Leopard Trust to develop the Big Cats Global Dialogue Series. He created and produced USAID’s Big Cats Big Opportunities video podcast series.
He’s strategized and produced transformative campaigns for agencies and organizations including USAID, The UNDP, NBA Cares, WildAid, World Animal Protection, Conservation X Labs, The YMCA, The Bail Project, The Peace Corps, The Nature Conservancy and The Riverside Park Conservancy; and for brands including AT&T, Merrill Lynch, Columbia Threadneedle, MetLife, Miller Brewing, The NFL, VH1, Diageo, Domino’s, Kraft, Unilever, Novell and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. His work has received recognition from The Emmys, the One Show, the Clios, AdAge’s Creativity, the NY Addys, the Effies, Adweek’s Best Ads, the London International Film Festival, the Houston International Film Festival and The New York Times.
